Many movies have made Alabama famous, including the Stars Fell on Alabama, Sweet Home Alabama, and while Forrest Gump was from a fictional town of Greenbow, AL, we can’t claim it was filmed here. It is a beautiful state to visit, hike, swim, and explore.

It’s hard to believe this is ribbons of color in a riverbed.

Patagonia flat and Midwest US flat are not the same. This was a strenuous hike, but well worth it.

Who couldn’t wake up to this view every day! OK, some days are blustery, but this area is gorgeous.

The sky simply exploded above us. It didn’t matter which way you looked, the northern lights were dancing a salsa.

The people of Kenya were incredibly nice and polite. They also seemed genuinely happy.
